Dimitri Boekhoorn, harpes
Dutch, doctorate in Celtic Studies, he is the author of a thesis on the Bestiare Celts in the Middle Ages.
He plays traditional music from Celtic countries, ancient music, and he has been composing and performing his own works since 1988.
Principally self-taught, he uses his nails just as the "harpists" from Ireland, Scotland, and Medieval Gaul, notably on metal strings on his instrument. Invited to several festivals in Europe, he regularly performs as a soloist on a number of modern and ancient harps.
Dimitri also collaborates with a group of traditional and ancient musicians. His project with a Gaelic harp with huge golden strings was featured by France Culture.
