Gregory Coston
Passionate about oriental music, it was during a stay in Cairo that Gregory learned nay from Mohammed Fouda and Laith Suleiman.
Returning to France, he joined Brahim Dhour's Arabic music course in Toulouse and the Mediterranean Ensemble that the latter directs. He develops his playing there and familiarizes himself with her with the richness of the North African repertoire.
He continues his encounters with musicians from the region, whether in Arabic music, world music or classical music.
He also began to manufacture nays, which allowed him to interact with players across Europe and the Arab world, during trips to Egypt, Jordan, Morocco or Palestine. Some play today on nays of his manufacture.
He currently plays nay with the Ensemble Méditerranéen and the Ensemble Jussour.
